Pyrography Students,

Please look at the list of class supplies below. If you are unsure about whether your pen is a correct one, please email me a picture of the pen in question. 

If you do not have any equipment, I have 6 loaner sets (with pens) that I provide at no charge on a first-request basis. If you do not have equipment, and wish to purchase it from me, let me know what you need and which class you are in and I will bring it to the class (saving you shipping costs).

​Supply List for Pyrography Class:

Variable-Temperature, Wire-Tip Woodburning Unit (any brand)
(has a temperature dial and works with nichrome wire tipped pens)
Note: I have discounted burners, pens, and cables to sell, and loaner equipment on a first-request basis.

A Writer-Tip Pen (either a bent wire, ball, or rounded end tip)

A Rounded Heel Skew-Tip Pen (a tip with a knife-type edge with 1-2 round curved edges)

A Shader-Tip Pen (a tip that looks like a skew but is bent so it can lay flat on the wood--shown here both from the front and side. Shaders come in many shapes.)

Electrical Power Strip (optional, except at the International Woodcarving Congress and Southeastern Woodcarving School)

Desk Light (optional, except at the International Woodcarving Congress and Southeastern Woodcarving School)
